Schedule for Yeap Ban Har | July 2015

In July, I am teaching a course in London. Check with www.mathsnoproblem.com for details for a three-day course 1.2.3 July 2015. This course is sold out.
 
I am also teaching on two (8.9 Jul) of the four days at SDE's National Conference on Singapore Math Strategies in Las Vegas NV. The two days, taken in total examines teaching of different lesson types from basic concept lesson to drill-and-practice lessons to application lessons using anchors tasks. We also did some advanced bar models plus assessment and a half-day course on fractions.
 
On 10 Jul, I present three lectures on Anchor Tasks at a three-day conference by Singapore Math Training in Scottsdale, AZ. See Singapore Math Training Website.

On 20 July, I will deliver a keynote Helping Students Learn Mathematics:  The Why and How of Singapore Math at Great Hearts Academies in Phoenix, AZ.

Title:  Helping Students Learn Mathematics:  The What and  How of Singapore Math 
The Singapore Mathematics approach focuses on developing students who are problem solvers! 
In this  invigorating keynote address, Ban Har Yeap will take Great Heart educators through the WHAT AND HOW of Singapore Math as he shares the strategies and tools for problem solving and questioning techniques designed to help students become mathematical thinkers!!!


I am also presenting at Greg Tang's Math Plus Conference, this year in Kansas City, MO.  This is on 21.22.23 Jul. will join Greg Tang, Dr Cathy Seely, Andy Clarke among others at Math Plus Conference. See MathPlus Website.

On 30 July, Shinglee Publishers is organizing a follow-up professional development for users of New Syllabus Mathematics in Singapore. The day before, there will be a similar session for primary schools. Invitations have been sent to all Singapore schools. The topics for both days is Teaching through Problem Solving.

2018 Teaching Schedule | June to December 2018

JUNE In June, I will be in Bangkok, Jacksonville and England. Bangkok, Thailand  9.10 June 2018 Owners and educators from S.A.M. (Thailand) have made it a point to meet with me once a year when my schedule permits. This year, I will meet them for two days to discuss mathematics teaching and learning. This is a private event.
